Al voltant d’Almansa

The work is inspired by the events that took place in Almansa, when the troops of Philip V defeated those of the Archduke of Austria, began a crucial chapter of the so-called War of Spanish Succession and its repercussions would be known throughout Europe, overturning the course that until then had taken the war, favorable in those moments to Archduke Carlos of Austria, that already signed its documents like Carlos III of Spain. One of the consequences was the occupation of the Kingdom of Valencia and the abolition of its privileges, currency, privileges, etc. Not following any descriptive purpose we can find moments that allude to the battles and the feelings that were lived there. Musically, the work consists of few thematic elements that are undergoing transformations throughout it.
